Vibration Machines: Warnings and Precautions

Every sales person tells you all the great things the vibration machines can do for your body from weight loss to bone density to just feeling good all around. Very few will mention the contradictions to using one of these machines. This is why it's important if you have any concerns such as implants or injuries that you find out which machine is best for you and of your are an eligible candidate for this axing technology. Note (disclaimer): We are not doctors and cannot give out medical advice so any health concerns always suggest you check in with your doctor. Ok so lets get to the big issues to consider.

Pace makers: If you have a pace maker you want to stay from any machines that have magnets in the motors. To be safe look into DC commercial grade motors. These will have very low emfs and should work best for you of this is a concern.

Implants: People that have implants in the lower part of the body (below the torso) a linear machine could be a concern for you as depending on the amplitude of this machine it could cause injuries or a problem with the implant. In this case I would usually suggest a oscillating or spiral unit or if your needs require a linear machine pick one with a very low amplitude (between 2 and 4 mm) maximum as this can still ate the muscles without being too jarring for the body.

Autism: Working with children is always a concern when working with any type of electronics as their sensitivity to high emfs levels can be quite dramatic. High emfs are thought to have effects on all people but autistic children seem to have very adverse effects to exposure. I'm this case I will always reccomend a DC motor machine which are know to put out almost 0 emfs as opposed to an ac motor where the emf levels are usually on the high side.

Eye socket issues: This can be an issue when using a linear or tri planer machines. This is because at the higher settings the straight up and down can act like a jack hammer motion so while good for some issues if you do have a detached retina or a similar issuer stick with a spiral machine to avoid complications.

Pregnant: Ok so if your pregnant I can understand you wanting to get a jump start to remove those extra few pounds and it will probably work. However that being said let's think about junior for minute who's inside your belly and really is not getting a say in this matter. All and all to lose the baby fat wait till that's all it is babyfat and not a baby! You will be able to use your machine to help tighten up the loose skin and lose weight but the motions may be a bit much for your baby. Remember the instructions say for ages 6 to adult.

Hip issues: if you have a hip implant I will need to refer to your doctor on what level you are at and what he wants you to do exercise wise. The spiral or oscillating motion can simulate walking so this may be something they want you to do but it is also very important like with any therapy not to over do it as when the oscillating motion is going up down up down its important to go slow so your body can keep up with the simulation of walking and not have the speed too fast so your body loses rhythm and it becomes jarring to the bones. Check with your doctor of you have a hip implant to make sure this flows with the therapy he or she is giving you.
